Chiangmai, Thailand - February 11, 2008 – AEROTHAI, the Air Navigation Service Provider of Thailand, has chosen the partnership of Ubitech and ATHI Telecom to implement a state-of-the-art AMHS and AIM/AIS solution in 2008. This project is not only of importance to the Kingdom of Thailand, but also the entire Asia-Pacific region as the establishment of AEROTHAI as an AMHS site will further the implementation of the region's ATN migration plan.
Ubitech will install its ATS Message Handling System (AMHS), branded the Ubimex (Ubiquitous Message Exchange) with the support of ATHI Telecom at AEROTHAI"s facility in Bangkok. The Ubimex is a high-performance and reliable ATS message system that is compliant with ICAO’s SARPs and the European AMHS Manual. It offers both Basic and Extended Message Services and is fully compatible with ATN, AFTN, CIDIN, SITA, WMO, Email, and NADIN networks. In addition, AEROTHAI has chosen to purchase Ubitech’s Aeronautical Information Management (AIM) system, named Spatia. Spatia is a single data management solution for all the diverse types of aeronautical information.
This contract was publicly announced at the AMHS Implementation Workshop in Chiangmai, Thailand which was co-hosted by Aerothai and ICAO’s regional office in Bangkok. Nearly all of the states in ICAO’s Asia and Pacific group were represented at the event and Ubitech and ATHI Telecom were primary sponsors. Mr. Dan Wilson, Marketing Manager at Ubitech was given the opportunity to address the delegates and chose to update them about Ubitech’s ongoing global AMHS activities and explain Ubitech’s unique vision for the implementation of AMHS in Asia-Pacific.
