Kuwait City, Kuwait - April 7, 2005 - In an ambitious program to upgrade its AIS capabilities, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) of Kuwait has chosen Ubitech Systems Inc. of Canada as their supplier of choice. Ubitech will install both their InfoStore™ AIS database and their SkySource™ AIP eManager application in the second quarter of 2005 at Kuwait International Airport. When commissioned these new systems will greatly increase the DGCA's capacity to manage critical AIS data and make it accessible through electronic delivery over the Internet.

The InfoStore™ AIS database is an integrated solution to AIS data management designed to create a central repository of all types of AIS data. The system is entirely self-contained and requires minimal database management resources or any 3rd party database engines. The ways to work with AIS data contained in the InfoStore™ database are limitless through flexible and customizable web-based interfaces that provide data access over the web.

DGCA expects the SkySource™ AIP eManager application to streamline the process of managing Kuwait's Aeronautical Information Publication (AIP). SkySource™ is a document management system designed specifically for AIP documents and manages the document lifecycle according to ICAO workflow standards. Using the system, users can create working sets of documents and charts, create amendments, supplements, AICs, and publish them to the web.

The current AIS project marks another step in a long standing relationship between Ubitech Systems and DGCA of Kuwait. Ubitech first installed its Ubimex-a™ AFTN message system in 1994 and has performed a number of system expansions and upgrades since.
