Ottawa, Canada - June 20, 2006 - Ubitech is proud to announce that it will be displaying its latest product, the AgileATS User Agent at the upcoming Global AIS Congress in Madrid. AgileATS is a ground-breaking web-based application that performs as a single interface for all of Ubitech's AIS and ATS messaging products.
This single interface provides the user with the following capabilities:
- ATS messaging (AMHS & AFTN)
- AIS Database Querying (NOTAM, OPMET, Flight Plan)
- Static AIS Data Management
- Pre-Flight Information Bulletins (PIBs)
- System Administration
In summary, the AgileATS User Agent provides the following benefits:
- Centralized Point of Management
- Unlimited User Expandability
- Simplified Integration with Other Application
- No Proprietary 3rd-Party Dependencies
- Familiar, Intuitive, Easy-To-Use Interface
AgileATS strategically employs AJAX (Asynchronous JavaScript and XML) techniques to enrich its web interfaces by providing all the benefits of traditional windows-based clients without the deployment and maintenance overheads typically attributed to these platforms. Unlike many of the traditional ATS Messaging clients out in the market today, AgileATS is offering the user a highly attractive interface that follows best-of-breed web authoring practices, operates with no client-side runtime components, and yet still incorporates the full suite of front-end syntactic and semantic validation for all forms.
The key point of differentiation is that AgileATS offers end-users a familiar, easy-to-use, predictable, and attractive web interface that possesses all the benefits of its thicker client counterparts (Java Web Clients/Traditional Windows Clients) while retaining the independence ease of maintenance, and native browser "look-and-feel" of Traditional Web Clients (i.e. "thin-clients").
As a result, recent AJAX-enabled applications such as Microsoft's Outlook Web Access & SharePoint, and Google entire suite of web applications (GMail, Google Maps, etc.) have gained significant popularity in the marketplace. For this reason AgileATS employing AJAX is ideally suited to AIS and ATS Messaging applications given it's independence of proprietary 3rd-party frameworks from Sun or Microsoft and its very low in-browser "footprint" on client workstations. Even in the situations where WAN connectivity is intermittent, client-side caching techniques can often replicate the same user-experience as that of Traditional Windows Clients/Java Web Start Clients.
The Global AIS Congress is being held on June 27th-29th in the "Palacio de Congresos" in Madrid, Spain. Ubitech will be exhbiting in Stand #20. The origins of the Congress are a recognition of the critical role that aeronautical information will play in the future ICAO Air Traffic Management (ATM) concept. The requirements for integrity of flight critical data and the scope of aeronautical information required by ATM to ensure interoperability are more demanding than AIS currently provides. The objective of the Congress is to bring together originators, processors, publishers, regulators, system designers, service providers, and end-users that collectively constitute the global AIS family.
