Kuwait City, Kuwait - July 18, 2005 – To upgrade their Aeronautical Information Services (AIS) and Aeronautical Information Publications (AIP) capabilities, DGCA Kuwait commissioned Ubitech's InfoStore AIS and SkySource AIP systems. Ubitech installed both systems at the Kuwait International Airport in June according to schedule and on budget. Each system is highly integrated with the Ubimex-a AFTN system already installed by Ubitech in early 2004.
The Kuwait project is one of many AIS projects Ubitech is carrying out this year. Ubitech"s AIS team is concurrently working on projects in Colombia and the Congo and a number of new orders for AIS and AIP are expected in Q3. Since their release late last year, InfoStore AIS and SkySource AIP are dominating Ubitech’s business this year.
The InfoStore AIS system improves the accuracy of AIS data while providing a high level of automation for disseminating this data. Civil Aviation Authorities have chosen InfoStore because it integrates the management of Notam, Meteorological, and Flight Plan data into a centralized system where data is always up-to-date and highly accessible through integrated internet support.
The SkySource AIP system is a document management system designed specifically to streamline the workload of managing the AIP lifecycle. It enables Civil Aviation Authorities to keep their AIP up-to-date without having to commit massive resources to the task. Creating amendments, supplements, or AICs is easily accomplished according to ICAO workflow standards while the finished product is automatically exported to a web server for internet accessibility.
