Responsibilities:
The Senior Web Client Developer will participate in full life-cycle development of Ubitech's Flex applications that are high-performance, scalable, reusable, and provide seamless integration with Java environments.
This is an opportunity to work with the latest RIA technology on our next generation aeronautical information management systems.
- Candidates must have experience developing applications with Flex 3, and demonstrate excellent ActionScript 3.0 skills as well as knowledge of various Flex libraries.
- Experience with Cairngorm frameworks and patterns within Flex/Flash/AIR projects is highly desirable , as well as any additional knowledge of Java and other RIA technologies.
- Working in an Agile team environment, you will be working to bring to life functional requirements delivered from product management team.
- You are expected to think critically about business value as you contribute to component architecture and data design.
Education and experience preferred:
- Degree or Diploma in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or similar program
- 8+ years as a software developer
- 2+ years Flex development
- Demonstrated ability to using Flex
- Excellent verbal and written communications - ability to present information to all levels within the company
- Complete knowledge of all phases of Software Development Cycle
- Strong OOP background
Nice to have:
- Java experience
- Experience with the Test Driven Design process
- Successful projects in both large and small teams
- Web service/SOAP development
