Responsibilities:
The Senior Java Server Developer will participate in full life-cycle development of Ubitech's information management applications that are high-performance, scalable, and reusable.
This is an opportunity to work robust Java server technologies to build the foundation of our next generation aeronautical information management systems.
- Candidates must have experience as a Java Developer designing and implementing Web architectures
- Working with XML standards and dealing with all the aspects of Content Management.
- Working in an Agile team environment, you will be working to bring to life functional requirements delivered from product management team.
- You are expected to think critically about business value as you contribute to component architecture and data design.
Education and experience required:
- Degree or Diploma in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or similar program
- 5+ years as a Java software developer
- 3+ years in XML, XLS, XSLT, XSD
- 3+ years in web-services (SOA)
- Excellent verbal and written communications - ability to present information to all levels within the company
- Complete knowledge of all phases of Software Development Cycle
- Strong OOP background
Nice to have:
- Web Feature Service Experience
- J2EE development experience
- Experience in managing aeronautical data
- Knowledge of ICAO and Eurocontrol specifications
- Experience with the Test Driven Design process
- Successful projects in both large and small teams
