Ubicom is Ubitech's exclusive line of modems designed specifically for aeronautical communications. Built into each modem is the capability to communicate over diverse networks in a number of protocols that are commonly used in ATS messaging.
Additionally, each modem has the capacity to communicate over an analog network, or with a small reconfiguration, over a digital network via the digital interface.
To enhance system reliability, each modem has the capability to use a "dual port” to protect against data loss. In large redundant systems, all data received can be simultaneously sent to a Master and Standby location so that the system can continue communicating during system failures.
For large applications, the Ubicom's can be rack mounted in Ubitech's own racking system that permits hot-swapping of each line card. For smaller applications, desktop models are available to connect directly to the serial port of a personal computer.
